Savvy Saver Recipe: Shepherd's Pie ~

1 lb. ground beef
1 cup green beans
1 cup corn
1 envelope brown gravy
2-3 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup colby-jack cheese (shredded)
salt/pepper to taste

Brown ground beef in large skillet. Drain.

Add green beans and corn. Heat throughout. Add brown gravy, salt/pepper and mix thoroughly.

Pour ground beef mixture into a 2-quart baking dish.

Top with mashed potatoes and cheese. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.

Serves 4

**This is a kid-friendly recipe. To jazz things up a bit, try adding onions and thyme to the ground beef mixture. You can also use garlic mashed potatoes.
