what an inspiring clip! since i always would try to spare some groceries for my student friends - but since couponing it is much easier to give a box full or grocery bag full of goodies. I pass along extra staples to my friends who are students (students never have enough money, been there) and families who just had a baby. It has been a joy to be able to give!

oh yeah, no offense to anyone - but i truly don't understand people who buy 200-300 candles... i have read of those stories with photos on some blogs - showing of their candle stockpile..

Love the post! My mom and I frequently talk about how important it is not to hoard, and how God warns us about "storing our grain" out of fear that He won't provide. Would you be willing to do a post about some places we can take our extra goodies for charity? I usually use my extras to bless family and friends, but it would be nice to have other options as well! Thanks!

Amanda,
I enjoyed this post as usual.
I just came from Pier 1 Imports at 2nd and Briant. They are cleaning out their soap and have it marked down to 10 cents. These are hand made soap that retail for 2.50. They are 2.8 oz bars.
