God loves a cheerful giver!

2 Corinthians 9: 7-8 says, "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for each good work." (emphasis mine)

Wow! What direction! What encouragement! What a promise! God desires for us to "purpose" in our heart what we will give. He doesn't want our giving to be on accident, but on purpose. And He loves it when we do it cheerfully. I don't know about you, but thinking about God "loving" my actions is pretty motivating and encouraging!

And it gets better...according to the last part, God is able to provide "all" we need so that we have an "abundance" to do good works or bear fruit. This says to me...the more I give, the more God will give me to give because He loves a cheerful giver and He wants me to keep on giving purposefully!

Did you see ALL the times the word "all" is used. This my fellow Savvy Savers means just what it says...ALL. In Him, we have all we need.

One of the main focuses of Simple Saving Savvy is to encourage others to be great stewards of ALL He has loaned to us AND cheerfully share with others out of our abundance.

Each week there are deals that end up being free or super cheap. And if you're like me... if you take advantage of as many deals as possible, your cupboards are overflowing. You can afford to give some away. And if you believe God's Word, then you know He will continue to bless your generosity by giving you more to give.
And many times there are deals for items your family may not use BUT they would make ideal contributions to your favorite ministry, charity or that family you know is struggling during these hard economic times.

So I encourage you, I challenge you, to give! And then watch what God will do!
